Cyanogenmod 11 - Android 4.4 KitKat

Cyanogenmod 11 - Cyanogenmod + Android 4.4.1 KitKat

Cyanogenmod  is a popular 3rd party aftermarket firmware for Android devices.  Cyanogenmod is also the base of most custom ROM's for Android as they always release new versions and debug the bugs. Anyways Cyanogenmod is the first source to publicly release Android 4.4 including the newest 4.4.1.  Their ROM with android 4.4 is called Cyanogenmod 11, to get this go to Cyanogenmod's downloag page. Then search for your device, via its code-name. Now click on nightlies and you should see Cyanogenmod11 with 20131312 or the date of the day you are going to put the rom on the device which is the latest nightly for your device.  Note that Cyanogenmod nightlies well have some bugs but will be fixed soon hopefully via their next nightly.  You must have your device unlocked and preferably S-Offed to flash Cyangenmod.  If you don't know how Google it or search XDA forum which is a community for Android users and developers including windows phones.  If your a developer a link to Cyanogenmods source code well be here.

In no way am I responsible for your actions causing your device to fail. I am just a blogger.

Android 4.4 KitKat

Another sweet break from Android

Android 4.4 is the newest version of Android codenamed KitKat. Another delicious version of the Android OS.  We all thought it was going to be Android KeyLimePie ,but Android decided to push that to a later point in time.  Android 4.4 KitKat brings many new updates to smoothen and sweeten your Android experience.  Google decided to make their own launcher called the Google Experience Launcher.  With  a major update to Google Now. With the Google Experience Launcher you can now say "Ok Google" and start telling Google what to do. From hands free texting to finding the nearest movie theater/gas station near you.  Even finding the height of any famous person.  You can even find the height of Barack Obama, Michael Obama , and Bob Marley!  Even George W Bush too (o_o).  You can have some fun with Google now.
My favorite feature is the new Google Experience Launcher and being able to hands free text mainly.  While your driving make sure you have the screen on option and your phone in a car dock.  Quickly say "Ok Google" to find a location, play a song, or text.  Sadly you cant use icon themes for the Google Experience Launcher. So I personally use Nova Launcher, until this feature gets added.
Android 4.4 KitKat was first released on the Google Nexus 5, then updates started rolling out on the Nexus devices, now the Moto X.
Developers have already been releasing 4.4 KitKat ROMS (3rd party OS's) for other devices unofficially.  While Cyanogenmod is working on CM 10.2 and Cyanogenmod 11 with 4.4 kitkat very slowly.

Why do you like Android? Over others such as iOS?

Why do you like Android over others such as iOS or other Apple products?  Post what you think below.

You Should Know

By now you should know Google owns many services such as Android which is Google's mobile operating system.  Google's Android runs on all of its devices tablets and phones.  Google names its software versions as food usually desserts.  Now its latest firmware is Android 4.2 Jellybean, previously it was 3.0 Ice Cream Sand which.  Whenever Androids firmware jumps to a new number such as from 3 to 4 it changes names.  Whenever you are buying a Android device you should make sure it has the latest software which you can find out from here: http://www.android.com/ which is also the source for this article.  You want to do research as well to see if the brand of the company you are buying the device from usually updates the software, and has good customer support.

Android Tablets

Android is one of the many company's to be on top for smartphones and tablets.  There are a wide variety of     tablets you can get for Android.  In my opinion you can get double what you would buy for an iPad mini 64 GB's then any Android tablet.  Well on Android you're connected to the entirety of Google.  That means on any Android device you can connect to your Google account which syncs you to your; GMail,  GTalk, GMaps, GMusic, and Google's famous Play Store.  Now a days you also need a Google account to connect to YouTube.  With Google Music you get to have 20,000 songs in what I like to call the Google Cloud.  In Google's Play Store, you can buy apps on one device then download them on another device.  Similar to Apple's iTunes store.  I well list many of Androids top tablet devices, along with prices.

Android Devices

These our only a few of the devices, you can click the links to go see the prices and image.  Android is an Operating System company that is apart of Google and spreads to over thousands of different devices.  These are only a few of the popular Android tablets.

(Evita) HTC One X

This is a post that I well especially be doing about the Evita HTC One X.  Evita basically says that the phone is an AT&T, Telus and Rogers.  Also anything to do about hacking those devices well be posted here as well.  The AT&T HTC One X once updated runs 3.18 firmware and Android Jeallybean 4.1 along with Sense 4+.  At the moment the AT&T HTC One X or any device with this software can not be rooted.  I well post when it can, along with a step by step guide.

 AT&T's One X                                                                                           Roger's One X

Telus One X looks the same as the Roger's One X.  The main way to tell the difference between Roger's and Telus is the boot animation.  Of course, AT&T states the obvious.
